Before I became a yoga teacher I was an outdoor river guide for many years. I had the incredible opportunity to live, work, and play on rivers all over the world, and yoga was always my one constant that kept my body & mind flexible, alert, and balanced. The yoga I practice and teach is where my outdoor adventure world, and my internal yoga worlds collide.
I completed my first YTT right around my first visit to the ski town of Niseko in Northern Japan. There were no yoga classes offered there yet, so I started my own and called it "Powder Yoga". Six years later it has evolved to a bustling winter yoga studio in the heart of the village where a community of teachers and students come together from all over Asia, Australia, North America, the Middle East, and Europe.
I believe yoga can help to enhance anyone's life, and my passion is to make it accessible, fun, and inspiring for all. There is an undeniable current of energy that flows through all things: me, you, the ocean, the wind, the rivers, the snow, and the cities of this world. Yoga is how I relate to and share this energy, as it flows through all of us, and connects us with each other and our surroundings.
